Team #8—Praise for the Team

There are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 1 Corinthians 14:4–6

Together everyone accomplished more. Together you create and sustain all that is not God. Together you revealed your comprehensive plan to manifest the fullness of your glory for the joy of your people. For all of eternity, as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, you have worked with one uniting purpose so that no obstacles were able to stand in the way of expressing your delight in the glory of who you are. Together you worked to deliver your people from the penalty and power of sin and to place us in the fellowship of the children of God. Now that you’ve placed us in the Body of Christ, we marvel even more at the perfect coordination of your efforts. There is no conflict for credit, no fighting over favorites, only unified commitment to the final success of your plan. When you bring us onto the team, your teamwork is even more evident. Knowing all the needs of the entire Body of Christ, Holy Spirit, you manifest yourself in as many ways as are necessary to meet those needs; and Lord, you direct each of its members to be in the right place at the right time for those manifestations to be appropriately discerned; and Father, you empower each of us sufficiently for each task. How glorious to see such teamwork displayed for our instruction and encouragement; how humbling to be a member of such an excellent team! Amen.
