I will meditate on the glorious splendor of your majesty and on your wonderful works. Everyone shall speak of the power of your awesome acts; and I will tell of your greatness. They shall bubble over with the memory of your abundant goodness and shall sing joyfully of your righteousness. Psalm 145:5–7
Eternal Father, I have looked closely and observed that you are good: good in that you righteously maintain yourself as uniquely and majestically glorious; and good in that you make all that you are as God available to me. In your word are the ways of life and joy: faith, love, honesty, mercy, humility, patience, kindness, forgiveness …. When I have followed the lead of your Spirit, I have experienced the joy and peace you promised to those who trust you. Day after day you have provided for my health and strength. You have forgiven my sins and brought me back onto the narrow way. You remained close to me when I wandered away from you. In the midst of trial and trouble you were present and active on my behalf. By your gracious activity, through the ministry of others in the Body of Christ, I have grown more mature; my faith in you and my knowledge of you are approaching unity. The gifts you gave me to use for the common good have been very good for me as well. How precious is your extravagant kindness, O Lord. What a joy to drink from the river of your delights. For you are the fountain of life. Your extraordinary kindness has pursued me all the days of my life; and I am satisfied to dwell in the house of your fellowship.
