Satisfaction In the New Year

We do not lose heart even though our body is decaying, because you are renewing our inner being day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison. 2 Corinthians 3:18–4:18; Deuteronomy 3:24

O let me not be satisfied
With what I know you have supplied;
But let me hunger more to see
Your glory amplified through me.

My earthen vessel strains to bear
The treasure of your constant care;
Displaying Jesus’ life and breath
Means even living Jesus’ death.

O let the hope of grace redound
In thanks as help for life is found;
Keep me from losing heart today;
Keep strong my faith along the way.

Then let me see my own small plight
Against eternal glory’s light,
When kindness shall be multiplied
And I’ll be fully satisfied.
